In this course, Ron and Bob go head-to-head in a friendly editing duel—one wielding Adobe Lightroom, the other Adobe Photoshop. Using the same image, each instructor demonstrates how they would approach editing, revealing the strengths, limitations, and creative possibilities of each tool. Students see firsthand how Lightroom handles efficient, non-destructive tonal and color adjustments, while Photoshop dives into detailed retouching, masking, object removal, and pixel-level control. By watching the edits unfold side-by-side, students learn which tool wins each round—and how to combine both into a powerful real-world workflow. This is meant to be a fun evening of instruction and open dialogue. We each have techniques that we use to quickly edit images, or spend weeks creating masterpieces. Let's dig into different methods and explore the tools we most commonly use. Ron will focus primarily on LR and Bob on PS. This is a fun class that we've wanted to do for a while, I hope you can join us.

Do maternity or newborn inquiries pop up occasionally—and leave you wondering how to approach them with confidence? Maybe these sessions aren’t your main focus (yet), but you want to feel prepared when they come your way. This evening session with Tracie is designed for photographers who want a clear, supportive framework for attracting, serving, and retaining maternity and newborn clients—even if these sessions aren’t a regular part of your business.
We’ll talk through how to respond to inquiries, set expectations, create a thoughtful client experience, and build trust in a way that naturally leads to repeat and referral business (and yes—these concepts can be applied to any type of session or client). The class will wrap up with an open, "Ask Me Anything" discussion—an honest, no-gatekeeping space to ask real questions about pricing, communication, confidence, and what to do when maternity or newborn inquiries land in your inbox.
This is a precursor to tomorrow's Merit Class and a great opportunity to hear from one of the industry leaders.
Register early. Space is limited. Attendees must register and pay in advance. No refunds or onsite registration.
