Portfolio Building Collaborative Photo Session -
Theme: "Rosie the Riveter"

with Robert Meek


Have you ever wanted to take your portraits to the next level collaborating with others to create a uniquely stylized themed portrait?

This class will take you through every aspect from coming up with a concept, hiring talent, creating a team, and interacting with that team. Preparing for the shoot by building a set, obtaining wardrobe and props. Taking you through multiple lighting setup to create the scene and mood. And best of all Collaborating with the team to create unique stylized portraits. Our theme for this evening will be “Rosie the Riveter”.

This event will allow for hands-on participation, so bring your cameras, we will be using Godox Lights so if you have a trigger for your camera, it may be beneficial to bring it.

Register early as space is limited.

Members are free. Guests must register and pay in advance. Register early for a discount. No refunds or onsite registration.


ABOUT ROBERT MEEK

DPPA member Robert Meek is a metro Detroit based photographer of 37 years, specializing in portrait and commercial photography. His love for the art form developed in his college years, where he earned a certification from Oakland Community College. Throughout the 90s, he owned and operated Robert Meek Photography where he established a resume of commercial credits including Good Will Industries, McCann Erickson Advertising, Somerset Mall, Michigan Health Care Corporation, Cattleman’s Beef and more. Robert’s work has also been featured in countless publications including the Troy Portfolio, ATG Integrator Magazine, the Detroit Women’s Metropolitan Magazine, and the Detroit Metro Times. He even became a listed photographer for Productions Plus and affiliated modeling agencies. 

Currently, Robert owns and operates RSM Photographic in Sterling Heights, where he specializes in shooting senior portraits, competitive dancers, family portraits, and professional headshots. RSM Photographic was awarded the ClickOnDetroit Vote 4 The Best “Best Photographer” and has placed in the top 5 three additional times. He also received a commercial certification from the Federal Aviation Administration as a drone pilot, which he uses to support his photography. He volunteers his services annually to Neighbors United, working collaboratively to create a calendar for their #walkfortheRED, an event held to raise money for Michigan firefighters and their families who are battling cancer. In recent years, Bob’s work has taken more of a creative turn, doing stylized shots with up and coming artists to expand his repertoire of skills and bring fun and fresh energy to his portfolio.
